COVID-19
All,
Operation Blue Pride is following the guidance from public health officials and government agencies and continues to monitor our programming schedule in accordance with these guidelines and recommendations. The classes and activities for spring/summer 2021 have been arranged and scheduled in order to comply with this guidance and applicable laws, rules and regulations, including without limitation, complying with masking, social distancing and other recommended requirements.
While we are optimistic about spring/summer 2021, we recognize that COVID-19 is unpredictable and continues to impact all. So, we must reserve the right to cancel/postpone and add substitute classes in order to comply with public health guidance and applicable laws, rules and regulations. If we are required to cancel/postpone, we will be in contact with those who have signed up for any cancelled class or activity as our plans develop and, if we need to postpone/reschedule, we are hoping to be able to offer you a substitute class. If we do need to reschedule/postpone and the rescheduled dates do not work for you, we will refund your deposit.
We cancelled/postponed most of our programming last year, but we were fortunate to be able to complete classes in August and September 2020. Operation Blue Pride arranged and financed the open water certification of 15 Veterans in September/October and the advanced open water certification of 4 Veterans in August.
Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions you may have and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, if Operation Blue Pride can be helpful to you in any way (it does not need to be scuba-related). Operation Blue Pride includes a large network of Veterans, Active Duty Military, volunteers and members of the dive community, all of whom have expressed their eagerness over the past 7 years to offer whatever help they can.
